We value your trust and respect your privacy. This notice explains how Inspire Bucks uses personal information when you visit our website, contact us or support our work.
Inspire Bucks is responsible for the personal information covered by this notice.
Registered Charity Number: 1195365
Email: team@inspire-bucks.org
Address: 18 Edison Road, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP19 8TE
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, message and any other information you choose to provide, such as your telephone number or organisation.
We use this information to answer enquiries, discuss donations and volunteering, respond to offers of assistance, handle initial referral enquiries and manage follow-up correspondence. Required fields are marked on our contact form.
Our hosting and security systems may also collect technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and the date and time of your visit. This helps us operate and protect the website and resolve technical problems.
We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, organising our charitable work and maintaining secure systems. Where processing is required by law, we rely on that legal obligation.
We may receive donor contact information from external donation platforms where the donor has consented to it being shared with us for administering and acknowledging gifts. We use that information for those purposes in accordance with the consent given.
Contacting us or making a donation does not automatically subscribe you to fundraising or marketing messages.
Please provide only a brief outline of the help needed and your connection to the person. Do not include their full name, address, medical information or other sensitive details in your initial enquiry.
If further information is needed, we will explain what to provide, how to provide it and how it will be used.
Contact-form messages are emailed to designated members of the Inspire Bucks team.
We use Fasthosts for website hosting, Microsoft 365 and Outlook services for email, and Microsoft OneDrive for copies of downloaded backups. Service providers may process or store information as necessary to provide hosting, communications, security and backup services.
Access is limited to authorised people who need the information to deal with enquiries or manage our systems. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Fasthosts provides UK-based data centres. Email, backup and other service providers have their own storage and processing arrangements, which may include processing outside the UK. Where international transfers occur, applicable data protection safeguards are required.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to respond to enquiries, complete follow-up and meet relevant legal or record-keeping obligations. We consider whether our dealings with you are ongoing and whether information is needed to resolve a complaint or query.
Information no longer needed is deleted or anonymised. Backup copies are removed as backups are replaced or deleted under our backup arrangements.
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to support its operation, security and functionality. Where consent is required, we will ask before using them. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.
Our website links to external services, including JustGiving and Amazon Wish List. Their own privacy notices explain how they handle information you provide and any information they share with us.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing or receive certain information in a portable format.
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out lawfully before that point.
To ask a question, exercise your rights or raise a concern, email team@inspire-bucks.org.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
We may update this notice when our activities or information-handling practices change. The date above shows when it was last updated.
