Our Team

A small team with a big heart

We’re a small team of unpaid trustees, patrons and volunteers, supported by an Administrator. We bring different skills and experiences, but share one purpose: making life a little brighter for children, young people and families across Buckinghamshire.

Meet the team

Paul Irwin

Paul Irwin

Founder, Chair and Trustee

Paul started the gift collection that grew into Inspire Bucks, and his enthusiasm for helping local children and young people remains at the heart of the charity. Community life keeps him busy: he chairs Waddesdon Parish Council and Waddesdon Cricket Club, and is an Ambassador for the Clare Foundation. Alongside those roles, Paul runs Waddesdon MOT Station. From that first Christmas collection to the charity’s work today, he brings people together to make a difference across Buckinghamshire.

Clive Wayland

Clive Wayland

Founding Trustee

Clive has been involved with Inspire Bucks almost since the start, and just loves what we do. Although officially retired he is still playing guitar and ukulele, entertaining people, repairing guitars and chauffeuring wedding cars. That all keeps him more than busy. As a founding trustee, Clive helps guide our work supporting children, young people and families across Buckinghamshire.

Peter Marks

Peter Marks

Patron

Peter became a Patron of Inspire Bucks in 2025, bringing business experience, bags of energy and a longstanding commitment to local good causes. Now semi-retired, he built a family chain of fish and chip shops and is a director of DVP Property Group Limited. A Buckinghamshire Freemason since 1995, he holds Provincial Officer rank. His volunteering has supported the Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally, the Ukraine appeal, Women’s Aid and local Christmas Day lunches. Peter believes he can help make a difference for those less fortunate.

Behind every smile

There’s more to our team than the faces you see here. Our volunteers give their time and energy, and our Administrator helps keep things organised. Together, they help turn generous offers of support into gifts, smiles and practical help. We’re grateful to everyone who plays a part.
