A birthday should feel special. But when a family is going through difficult times, finding the money for a gift can be another worry on an already long list.
Inspire a Smile brings gifts to children and young people in need for birthdays and other special occasions throughout the year. We work with Buckinghamshire Council and other agencies to help gifts reach those who need them.
Our aim is simple: a moment of happiness, a reason to smile and a reminder that someone is thinking of you. A thoughtful gift can help make a special day feel special.

The excitement of opening a present is something every child should have the chance to enjoy. For families facing hardship, Christmas can bring pressure as well as hope.
Our Christmas Gift Appeal brings together the generosity of local people, workplaces and community groups to provide presents for disadvantaged children and young people across Buckinghamshire. Working with the Council and other agencies helps us reach families in genuine need.
We want children to feel remembered and included, and to give families one less thing to worry about during the festive season.

Starting adult life is a big step. For young people leaving care, it can be especially daunting without the practical help and family support that many of us take for granted.
Inspire for Life is preparing to launch a pilot in early 2027, helping young care leavers in Buckinghamshire take their next steps towards independent living. The aim is to combine practical gifts with support that helps young people make the most of them—whether that’s equipment for their first home, a laptop for learning or help towards getting into work.
